Yesterday, we talked about finding an unexpected feeling of dissatisfaction when you reach a goal. What about when you accomplish something and the level of satisfaction you get far surpasses anything you had hoped for?
Ride that wave and build off the satisfaction. Keep challenging yourself. Keep evolving that goal so you can continue to grow and learn in that environment. Finding something that gives you an unexpected amount of satisfaction is rare and precious. You should hold onto and cherish it once you find it.
The only toll it takes is that you’ll never know when any given goal or task will give you that immense joy. You could complete task after task, reach goal after goal and always feel unsatisfied. Keep pushing. Keep learning. Keep setting targets for yourself. Because when you do find that something all the trials that came before it will feel worth it.
