84% of the world’s population believes in some kind faith. Christianity, Muslim, Hindu, etc. are some of the religious views that people believe in and worship.
That leaves 16% of the world without religious association. Agnosticism and Atheism are growing as popular beliefs (or rather lack thereof) and on the behalf of fellow atheists and agnostics, please stop trying to convert us.
I am a firm believer that, at its core, religion is good. It gives people something to live for and a provides comfort for what comes in the afterlife. Regardless of your religious views, all religion is primarily meant to spread good teachings, morals, and values. That being said, just because someone believes in a different deity than you, or if someone doesn’t believe in any at all, it doesn’t give anyone the right to try and force a change in religion.
One religious view that is common throughout most of the worlds religions is the sentiment that, “we should live in peace and harmony”. That means whatever race, creed, background, or religion someone is from we should accept and love everyone.
Worship whomever you’d like to worship. Prey to whomever you’d like to pray to. But respect whomever chooses not to worship or prey to anyone.
