Setting Goals

Setting goals should be something you do regularly. They give you something to strive for while also keeping you motivated; however, be wary of how you’re setting your goals.

If you’re setting goals that you know you’ll be able to meet it’s likely you’ll achieve them, but you won’t gain experience from it.

Setting goals too high might prove to be too challenging and, if not met, discouraging.

Set goals that are slightly above what you think you’re capable of. A goal that gives you sufficient challenge. Reasonably challenging goals will inspire you to work harder in order to reach them.

Goals should be something we want to do, not something we know we can do. When setting them, don’t think “can I?” Think “I will.”

The ultimate reason for setting goals is to entice you to become the person it takes to achieve them.
