Open Conversations

When talking with others, it can be sometimes challenging to understand their point of view, while also trying to have them understand yours.

We often get caught up in our own feelings, which turns the conversation from an open one, to a closed one.

Yes, express your feelings and try to make yourself not only heard, but understood; however, you should be putting just as much effort, if not more, into making sure you are properly listening to, as well as understanding, the other party(s).

Once everyone is really listening and paying attention to each other, the conversation can move forward and real progress can be made.
